Deanne Hofer
Deanne Hofer serves at St. Peter's as the
Early Childhood Education Center director. She is also the morning
Classic Preschool teacher. Deanne has
been instrumental in preparing for our Early Childhood expansion through
the Rock Solid Future campaign. Deanne can boast that she is the
staff member who has been at St. Peter's the longest! Previously she
taught 3rd grade, was director of the "little house" childcare, has served as a classroom
aide and ESD supervisor all here at St. Peter’s. Deanne received her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Elementary Education from Gustavus Adolphus College. She also has a
music minor and a coaching certificate for volleyball and softball.
Deanne comes from a small Minnesota
farming community where she attended Immanuel Lutheran School until 8th
grade and graduated from the local high school. She met her husband,
Jim, while attending Gustavus and they later married at the campus
chapel. Deanne and Jim have two young boys, Andrew and Isaac, and reside
in Shakopee. Both Deanne and Jim are active in their church and they
also enjoy camping and fishing with their family. Deanne also enjoys
photography in her free time.
Deanne says she knows God is working in
her life because of the awesome gifts all around her – loving friends,
family, and co-workers. One bible verse continues to express her
Christian walk: “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now
remain in my love.” John 15:9 This verse was read for her on her
confirmation day, was chosen as the basis for the message at her
wedding, and highlighted on Christian radio the day her first son was
born. Our God is an awesome God!
